Masters Seeking Exemption

There are two different authorities responsible for the pilotage areas covered by a Fremantle Pilot. Masters must apply to the respective authority responsible for the area for which they are seeking exemption.

Port Of Fremantle Exemption (Fremantle Ports)

Fremantle Ports is responsible for all berths within the Inner Harbour of Fremantle and within Cockburn Sound except for Jervoise Bay Harbour North (JBN).

Port Of Perth Exemption (WA Department of Transport)

The Western Australian Department of Transport is responsible for all berths contained with the Fishing Boat Harbour (FBH), Jervoise Bay Harbour North (JBN) and the Port of Perth (upper Swan River past the Fremantle Traffic Bridge).
